NIS proudly participated as a Partner Sponsor of the McClendon Center’s Art of Transformation Reception and Client Art Show. Our attendance and sponsorship increased community awareness, and helped to raise funds for meals, clinical treatments, and therapy programs.
The McClendon Center is a non-profit organization that provides behavioral health services and programs for over 2,000 men and women in the District of Columbia who are coping with mental illness and/or addiction. The McClendon Center helps its clients work towards recovery, independence, and personal success by providing group therapies such as art, music and movement, and by providing a free clinic with access to psychiatric care and other health amenities.

April 4, 2017 Mclean, VA – NIS announced today that it was selected as a finalist for the 9th Annual Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) Awards. Winners will be announced at the SECAF Awards Gala on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Hilton Mclean in Tysons Corner. The commemorative event honors small and emerging government contractors and the players in the industry that rely on small business.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) Appointed (January 3, 2017)
NIS announces the appointment of Michele Hoopes as the Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Hoopes will be responsible for management and operations of corporate functions including business development, strategies, HR and administration. Ms. Hoopes will be working closely with CEO to drive seamless execution of key strategic priorities of the company. Ms. Hoopes brings 30 years of experience supporting the U.S. Federal Government and Commercial sectors of our economy. She joins NIS from her most recent positions as COO for New Directions Technologies, Inc. (NDTI) and ActioNet as their Chief Quality Officer (CQO). C.K. NIS announces receipt of award as one of the prime contractor on the Defense Logistics Agency J6 Enterprise Technology Services (JETS) contract. JETS is an 8-year, $6 Billion indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) vehicle that provides a broad range of technology services to further DLA in its mission to support US warfighters worldwide. NIS is one of the 19 companies awarded in Group C (8a), and is eligible for competing in all categories.

CMMI-DEV ML 2 Appraisal, April 24, 2015
Alexandria, VA— Nationwide IT Services, Inc. today announced that it has been appraised at Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® under Development (DEV) Constellation.
The appraisal was performed by Mr. Dean Rock, Lead Appraiser using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Version 1.3b. CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
An appraisal at maturity level 2 indicates the organization is performing at a “managed” level. At this level, projects have ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy; the projects employ skilled people who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs; involve relevant stakeholders; are monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions.
Nationwide IT Services, Inc. (NIS) is committed to consistency and predictability in our projects, and have implemented all of our CMMI processes within a workflow to improve processes for consistency throughout the process workflow including the metrics to better support our customers.
