Alexandria, VA— Nationwide IT Services, Inc. (NIS) today announced that it has been appraised at Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® under Development (DEV) Constellation.
The appraisal was performed by Mr. Dean Rock, Lead Appraiser using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) Version 1.3b. CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
An appraisal at maturity level 2 indicates the organization is performing at a “managed” level. At this level, projects have ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy; the projects employ skilled people who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs; involve relevant stakeholders; are monitored, controlled, and reviewed; and are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions.
NIS is committed to consistency and predictability in our projects and has implemented all of our CMMI processes within a workflow to improve processes for consistency throughout the process workflow including the metrics to better support our customers.
C.K. Park, CEO of NIS states “This achievement demonstrates NIS’ strong commitment to quality culture within our organization but more importantly is a result of our employee’s understanding of CMMI processes, standards, tools, and methods but more importantly applying them to our client’s projects for results. NIS will continue to invest in processes and toolsets to improve business outcomes for our customers and clients.”
