Making Today’s Tech Work Better for Tomorrow’s Humans
NIS is committed to bringing the latest technology, approaches and processes to our customers, enhancing their mission.
At the heart of this is the NIS Center of Innovation (NCI).
By adopting a business environment that supports collaboration, out-of-the-box thinking and open discussion, we develop innovative solutions and approaches.
Design Thinking
We focus on understanding the people for whom we design products and services.
Design Thinking is an iterative process where we understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions. This process involves ongoing experimentation: prototyping, testing, and trial of concepts and ideas. We utilize modern UI/UX techniques to engage the customer using Human Centered Design.
Technology Infusion
Using the latest advancements in technology and automation, we advise our clients on improved handling of customer grievances, advancing business operations and enhancing customer experiences.
We utilize technologies like XaaS, Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and Virtual Reality to optimize, automate operations and rapidly deliver quality products and superior user experiences.
Transparency
Our work environment encourages our employees and associates to express themselves freely.
We constantly share valuable insights with our workforce, provide them training and encourage them to acquire new skills. We are also transparent in the way we interact with our customers - by being honest, giving timely updates on progress and addressing issues with straight talk.

DevSecOps Playbook
Developed a robust CI/CD pipeline using the latest open-source tools to quickly deliver quality and secure software products.
DevSecOps is an organizational software engineering culture and practice that aims at unifying software development (Dev), security (Sec) and operations (Ops).
The main function of DevSecOps is to automate, monitor, and apply security at all phases of the software lifecycle: plan, develop, build, test, release, deliver, deploy, operate, and monitor.
Blockchain as a Service (BaaS)
NIS BaaS is a shared, immutable distributed ledger for recording transactions, tracking assets, and building trust using open source and microservices architecture on the cloud.
NIS rapidly develops blockchain applications using our BaaS architecture, approach, and tools. NIS used Hyperledger Fabric, an open-source platform for developing BaaS. It supports smart contracts written in public languages (Golang, JavaScript, Java, and others). The application uses open-source tools and technologies such as Golang, Vue.js and LevelDB, CouchDB with Hyperledger Fabric blockchain infrastructure as its foundation. The application is hosted on NIS’ Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
