On July 22, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) announced that Nationwide IT Services (NIS) was awarded the Science Collaboration and Application Services III (SCAS-III) contract to support the Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) for the USGS enterprise.
The scope of work includes custom applications development, telecommunication support, web development, enterprise hosting/collaboration, network/server administration, and increased use of cloud-based environments for both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The new contract, the company’s largest, will last five years and continue to employ people at locations across the country.
